Here at the forge we combine time honoured techniques and modern materials to produce traditional and contemporary cast

aluminium signs and house nameplates of exceptional quality.

The Manthorpe Forge was established in 1987 in the old blacksmith’s shop in the village of Manthorpe.

Each sign we make is individually designed to the customer’s requirements, cast in non rusting aluminium, sprayed and then hand-painted. We offer a wide selection of patterns and motifs and pride ourselves in working closely with the customer. Many of the motifs fit on a range of shapes and sizes of signs – if you are in any doubt please email or phone us.

If you can’t find the right motif among the hundreds we offer then send us a picture and we’ll do one for you – usually costing an extra £30. A popular choice is your own house on a sign – reproduced in miniature for an extra £40.

Our signs are painted black (other base colours including dark green and white cost an extra 20%) and come with wall plugs and brass screws.

Delivery is usually within 5-6 weeks. Your sign can be mounted on stakes for about £25 extra, please enquire.
